Riverside Lodges

Invergloy, Spean Bridge PH34 4DY, UK – 01397 712684

A secret hideaway nestled on the banks of Loch Lochy, this place offers it all. In its huge, well maintained gardens you'll find a play area, wildlife feeding spots, wood carvings, & beautiful short walks through breathtaking scenery. On the loch itself (3 minute walk), the otter hut offers comfy seats, solar lighting and a place out of the wind and rain (cant be helped on a lochaber holiday in the first week of January!) I can imagine its even better in the sunshine! Set in the gardens, The barbeque hut looks straight out of the hobbit! And though we didn't use it this time, we look forward to reclining on soft furs and eating like hobbits on our next visit! While being truly pet friendly & laid back, it maintains a really high quality everywhere. The friendly hosts have thought of everything (use of picnic hamper, torch, umbrella by the door) the little touches that really make you feel special. You dont normally find that in self catering accomodation- especially the pet friendly kind! The chalet itself (we stayed in Blair lodge) is utterly gorgeous. It has a double height ceiling and windows to roof height on 3 sides which really gives you that 'wow' when you walk in. From the lounge, patio doors open on to a massive deck area with truly awesome views. 3 bedrooms sleep 6 people, with hotel quality beds (a superking, a double and bunks) Loads of amenities,  our chalet had a separate area with washing machine and tumble drier, with a covered porch to hang soggy coats and a boot rack. The wood burning stove made the chalet lovely and warm despite our stay being cold grey and wet. There's a well equipped kitchen with beautiful handmade highland stoneware crockery. Gorgeous watercolours on the walls and a touch of tweed and hessian with antler accents give a feel of rustic highland chic. Ironically I actually only live 20 minutes away. We booked a stay off season, purely for a rest after a particularly hard year setting up a new business, & because we could bring our elderly dog with us. To say it surpassed my expectations is an understatement. This place is heaven. Come see for yourself.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
